WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE

THE ROTARY CLUB OF WILLIAMTOWN INC
                    NEEDS YOUR ASSISTANCE

                        WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Three to six motor-cyclists from the Hunter Region will form the crux of a fund raising ride around Australia. It will commence at Williamtown on Monday 2nd March 2015, and finish at Newcastle Civic Centre 24 April 2015.

We will average 400 kms per day stopping at as many towns as time allows. Your town is one of those and we seek your help (we may attract more riders from place to place) and your members are welcome to join us.

                 HOW CAN YOUR CLUB ASSIST

The following are examples of the help we need:

1.    Consult your council etc. to arrange the use of their showground/footy field where we can shower and camp. We have swags and tarps.
2.    Arrange at the same or separate venue a B.B.Q. or sausage sizzle where we can do a power point presentation of our project.
3.    Confer with nearby Rotary Clubs to seek their support.
4.    Disseminate promotional material, which will be provided when you commit your assistance for distribution in your district.
5.    Seek the help of the local RSL to achieve our objective of attracting new members to Rotary and broadening our fundraising base. This could be the best venue for the presentation and B.B.Q.
6.    Should your Club be unable to assist us could you please let us know asap so that we can approach an alternative club near you.

The Rotary Club of Williamtown, under the guidance of RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Services), RAM (Rotarians Against Malaria) and WHO (World Health Organisation), will carry out “Operation Buzz Off”, a Malaria eradication program in selected villages in Papua New Guinea using a similar format as that successfully employed in Timor Leste.

It will be dedicated to the memory of the “Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels “ of WW2 in the Centenary Year of ANZAC
