What a start to the event!
On Sunday March the 1st we had 90-100 people join us for the send off at the Bull 'n' Bush, Medowie.
These included:
• Family and friends of the riders - 24
• Rotary Club of Williamtown NSW members & wives – at least 19
• Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd representative Brian Coffey and Rotarians from the East Maitland Rotary Club - 10
• Representatives of 3 RSL clubs
• Medowie Anglican and Baptist Churches – 6
• 4 vintage cars and their owners
• 25 riders from the LONGRIDERS CMC AUSTRALIA
• Councillor Chris Doolan and his family
$900 was raised with a family member adding the needed amount to make it an even number! East Maitland ran a chocolate wheel, Chris Doolan shook the bucket for donations in the pub and his son even donated his pocket money. There were also lots of people donating money for their sausages.
